Tucson Roadrunners

I am in no way affiliated with, nor was this work for commercial use with the Tucson Roadrunners, professional AHL Arizona hockey team. These designs were done for personal entertainment.

The current visual identity of the Tucson Roadrunners is inspired by the 1974 Phoenix hockey team of the same name. The logo, which resembles Woody Woodpecker, reflects the style of that era. While this design may appeal to some, it's not everyone's cup of tea.

To create a modernized version of the Tucson Roadrunners' identity, I took inspiration from the natural coloring of roadrunners and incorporated typography that captures the essence of the Southwest. The result is a unique and authentic representation of the team.

The roadrunner is often seen as a docile bird, but to make it look tough, I incorporated an angry expression. While the coloring may not be as flashy as other logos, it reflects the true nature of the team and the region it represents.
